On 3 February 2026, EUROCHAM Malaysia Healthcare Committee met with YBhg. Datuk Johan Mahmood Merican, Secretary General of Treasury, Ministry of Finance Malaysia (MOF).

Represented by our Board Member, Dr Mohd Emil Azril Bahari Md Noor PhD and committee members from B. Braun Group, Fresenius Medical Care, Novartis Malaysia, Roche, and Zuellig Pharma. The dialogue with YBhg. Datuk Johan focused on key challenges faced in Malaysia’s healthcare ecosystem, which directly affect both industry stakeholders and patient outcomes. Our key points included the rising prevalence of non-communicable diseases (NCDs), increasing healthcare costs, and the imperative for innovative solutions in public procurement.
